Cool Stuff

I have a picture of the chipmunk I was talking about last time on here as well as a picture of a Short Horned Lizard. I know I look like a dork in the pictures but I am having a great time not only getting to see all these animals but holding them as well. Things are pretty much going the same just at different plots. I am looking forward to going to Yellowstone this weekend and meeting the head Wildlife Biologist and possibly the Wolf Biologist while up there. We are still working out the details but any which way it should be exciting.

It doesn't seem fair...you are getting paid to have so much fun. I must say I envy you, even though at my tender age I could not keep up the pace. I do enjoy your blogs. Now I'm working hard on a family cookbook. Aunt Kathy is going to put it together for us.

TaTa I still push the wrong buttons so I hope this will get to you anyway. When the market has round steak on sale, buy a whole one. Have the butcher slice it up into strips. At home divide into at least four portions. For one bunch put in a baggie. Pour over it a combination of soy sauce, vegetable oil, garlic powder and powdered ginger. Masage it and refrigerate a couple hours. Then either broil over charcoal or stir fry. With another bunch...sprinkle with tenderizer. Use an onion cut into crescents, brown in a little oil, stir in meat and gently brown. Sprinkle with paprika and dill weed. Just before serving add about a half cup of sour cream. In a pinch you could use an undiluted can of mushroom soup. Goes good over rice.
With another bunch of strips...thread onto bamboo skewers alternating with pieces of papaya (meat tenderizer) and grill over charcoal fire. Again take a bunch of meat strips. Brown lightly. Toss into a crockpot with sliced celery, sliced onion, and a can of chopped tomatoes. Turn to low and cook all day. Great to start in the morning before you go out to work. It'll greet you with fragrant aromas when you come home. I think it's called something like Swiss Steak.

That chipmunk looks like a bird. Don't be getting any more pets, okay?

Having your picture taken while you look (and dress) like a dork shows how secure you are! I don't believe anything N says about you. Don't let anybody pick on you. Besides, HRH has(many)pictures of a friend with kleenex stix up her nose because of nose-bleeds while they visited the Space Needle...two little white straws, up her nose, in every shot. (and a smile)

I believe the "coat" is just a long sleeved shirt to keep the bugs, sun and plant juices off your arms, right?

Yes the "coat" is just a long sleeved dress shirt mostly to keep the sun off me. Besides when you go to work at 6:30 am it is not all that hot outside yet.
